Struggling to find the perfect gift for the traveling mom in your life? Just in time for the holidays, here’s our round-up of favorite travel related items. Most of them are focused at moms, but some of them are kids items. Let’s be honest, the line between a “mom gift” and a “kid gift” is pretty blurred most of the time – if the kids are happy, then the mom is happy right?!

      1. S’well Stainless Steel Water BottleHydration is really important! I seriously carry this thing everywhere I go. I love that it keeps my water cold, which in turn encourages me to drink more water! It keeps things cold for 24 hours and hot for 12. The sleek, thin design allows it to comfortably fit in cupholders in vehicles and bags. They have a ton of designs but I’m really liking this teak one lately, and they plant a tree for each one you buy!
      2. Kid’s Water Bottle
Hydration is equally (if not more) important for our littles. It’s important to have a leak-proof and age appropriate kids cup. For little kids we like these Avent straw cups. For older toddlers and kids, we like these BPA-free Nalgene ones.
      3. Foogo
I have a thing for Foogo products. I love that they keep our food and beverages at the temperature we want them for hours while we travel. It’s a little easier to plan meals on the fly now that Miss C has a more varied palate, but these Foogo food jars and Foogo straw cups made all the difference when she was weaning. They still get plenty of use for milk and food when we are out adventuring!

      4. Jujube BFF Diaper Bag
I’ll let you in on a secret. This diaper bag is what’s on the top of MY christmas list this year. I’ve drooled over them for awhile now, and decided I NEED it! Jujube makes several styles and models, but this one is the perfect size to take as a carryon, or just out and around in town. The pockets have such a smart layout and it’s not too “diaper-bag-ish” to keep using after baby is a bit older.
      5. Travel Cubes Where have these things been all my life? I absolutely hate how messy my delicately packed bag gets just seconds after arriving at our destination. Travel cubes are the perfect organizational tool for any traveler. They are so versatile. You can use one for each family member, or one for each type of clothing (pants, shirts, accessories) if packing for a longer trip. They keep your suitcase perfectly organized during your whole trip. Goodbye to digging through layers of disheveled clothing trying to find a pair of socks!
      6. BABYBJORN Travel Crib Light
I can’t even begin to add up how many airline miles our trusty Graco Pack and Play has accumulated. But, in retrospect, I would have definitely gotten a lightweight travel crib. This BABYBJORN one only weighs in at 13 pounds and folds up super small. Put this on your Christmas list, your back (or your husband’s) will thank me.
      7. The Bag by Fun on the Fly
Are you constantly looking for something to occupy your kids during long car trips, plane rides and layovers? Tired of all of the “Pinterest Fails” from your attempts at DIY activities? Put one of these activity bags on your kids’ Christmas lists. The activities, crafts and toys inside are sure to keep your kiddos occupied for hours. That’s really the best gift for mom after all right?

      8. Travel Journal
We think life is all about experiences. You will certainly want to remember all of those sweet moments traveling with your kids. Be sure to write them down – they grow up so quickly! I’m very much a hard-copy journal person and almost always have a journal on me. I love this travel journal by the fantastic Valerie Stimac from Valerie and Valise because it gives you places to stick your ticket stubs and other small mementos alongside your journaling. We have saved all of Miss C’s many ticket stubs since her first flight at 7 weeks old. So, this is perfect for us!
      9. Airline Miles
Still not sure what to purchase for that hard-to-shop-for traveler in your life? Consider gifting them your unused airline miles. Some airlines such as American Airlines allow mile sharing, and any traveler would be happy to receive airline miles toward free trips, especially if it is an airline they frequently fly!
      10. Handmade Travel Gifts
Who doesn’t love Etsy? There are a whole ton of Etsy sellers who make customized and unique travel related gifts. What better way to make the traveling mom in your life feel special than ordering a one of a kind gift? Also, by shopping on Etsy, you are supporting small business owners, and I think that’s something we can all get behind.

Christmas is my favorite time of year, and I just love giving gifts! I hope that you, are all surrounded by people you love this holiday season!
